In this, the 4th edition of Phil Eklund’s iconic game, the core rules have been completely updated, expanded, and richly illustrated with examples to guide you through the rules. New are also a glitch system (allowing for rational risk taking), recently discovered sites on the map, more factions, unique faction abilities, and much more. The game system has been adjusted to a modular structure, allowing you to mix and match modules to tailor your preference. This core box includes the first module, “Politics”.

Soon bold entrepreneurs and public organizations will be exploring and prospecting sites throughout the solar system. Incredible new processes and techniques to space will open new opportunities for humankind. In High Frontier 4 All, you will become one of these explorers, competing in the market for “the right stuff” patents – designing and building rockets, prospecting robonauts, space refineries, and more. The key to the solar system is water, so useful as rocket propellant. So your first destinations will be the ones with the most profitable hydration. Choose wisely – the key to winning will be the factories you establish in space.

High Frontier is based on published facts, in a sandbox that includes the most detailed solar system map ever gamed, as well as a myriad of directions that space development might take, in what is said to be one of the best representations of travel in the solar system ever made in 2D.

Separate rules and components are included for two new introductory games. One gets your familiar with the map, and the other takes you step-by-step through the rules. Both are stand-alone games, great for playing a “lighter” verison of High Frontier with family and friends.
